Alex is a Partner and Florida Market Leader at Architecture 101, bringing more than 30 years of experience across architecture, construction, design-build, project management, BIM, and visual communication. His career has taken him throughout the United States and the Gulf region, giving him experience across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design and master planning through construction and project delivery.

His perspective is shaped by both design and hands-on building experience, including early work in roofing, framing, drywall, and residential renovation. Alex has also spent much of his career advancing BIM and Revit-based workflows and remains deeply interested in generative design, Dynamo, AI, and other emerging technologies that expand the way designers think, create, and solve problems. He spent more than seven years as an Adjunct Professor at SCAD, where he taught graduate design studios, BIM, and project management after originally moving to Savannah in 1989 to pursue his Master of Architecture.

That same curiosity extends well beyond architecture. Alex comes from a family of self-taught artists and has always been drawn to creative experimentation. He paints, practices photography and graphic design, and creates original music, often finding inspiration in the overlap between art, technology, and sound.

He also has an adventurous side. A longtime surfer and skateboarder, Alex skateboarded nearly every day while living in Dubai and has even gone bungee jumping. He is also an avid gamer who enjoys strategy, exploration, puzzles, and problem-solving. Whether he is designing a building, making music, testing a new technology, or chasing the next challenge, Alex is driven by curiosity and a desire to keep learning.
